Have your say – routes 816 and 818

There has been a change in how students are travelling to and from school this year. Newcastle Transport is exploring changes to some services in order to better align with these newly identified travel patterns.

Newcastle Transport has identified proposed school services changes for St Pius X High School and Kotara High School travelling between Newcastle and Merewether Heights.

Key change options:

• Providing a direct morning school service 816 to St Pius X (only), departing The Junction at 8.14am arriving around 8.39am
• Providing a direct morning school service 816 to Kotara High (only), departing The Junction at 8.36am arriving around 8.50am
• Providing an additional afternoon school service 818, departing St Pius X at 3.13pm
• The afternoon school service 816 at 3.40pm will no longer operate.
